First, full disclosure: Yes, this is a pic from 2013 and I’ll tell you why. Motherhood happened. It’s a glorious thing, this mommy gig. I get to stay home with my two toddler boys and squeeze in some writing during their naps.

And here’s the thing about motherhood-it can be easy to lose yourself in the role of wife and mom.

I write because I feel called to it, it’s healing, and it reminds me of who I am at my core. Marrying a bit later in life afforded me time to make mistakes, have great adventures and learn a thing or two about this skin of mine…and how to be comfortable in it. I have stories to tell, inspiration to share.
